And yet another World XI

And another All-time World XI, which would do pretty well against that one I listed in the last post. I'm going to stop, as this is getting silly.

Gordon Greenidge
Virender Sehwag
Brian Lara
Sachin Tendulkar
Javed Miandad
Allan Border
Ian Botham
Allan Knott
Waqar Younis
Michael Holding
Muttiah Muralitharan
Glenn McGrath

Greenidge/Sehwag vs Hutton/Gavaskar? Either the former team will collapse to 7/2 in no time or smash to 200/0 before Lunch!
The latter on the other hand will saunter to 80/0 or 80/1 by Lunch
You might want to distribute Sehwag and Greenidge across the two teams :-)

While this team has SRT and BCL, the next 3 positions pale before prev team

Border, Botham, Mian Dad < Chappell,Sobers and BRADMAN!
Just no comparison. Only the presence of SRT and BCL gives this team some respectability but even that is compensated by the presence of Richards in the other team.
So, this team is no way comparable to the other one. Redistribute

And you have 12 in this team. You have to remove one bowler, in which case even the bowling is rendered weaker compared to the previous team!

Raj: Oops, thanks for pointing out I had 12. Maybe I'll just leave out Botham.

Anyway, this was all a bit of a lark. I don't think All-time XIs work one bit. Too much variance across eras.
