IPL Balance Sheet

Thus far:

What I like: the little matchups like Flintoff v. Tendulkar; the improbable scorecard lines like Dravid c Warne b Patel.

What I dislike: images of Lalit Modi; images of Lalit Modi; images of Lalit Modi.

Better balance between bat and ball.
Seeing Kumble, Warne, McGrath bowl again.

I am looking forward to a few match-ups:

Warne v Sehwag
McGrath v Sachin
Warne v Ganguly
Flintoff v Ganguly
McGrath v Hayden

You missed the obvious-- Commentary.
Any game at the Wanderers is gonna be a nightmare for the bowlers.
No Shaun Pollock.

Can't get rid of a damn dog off the ground.

Wouldn't Flintoff v Tendulkar be more likely and more interesting in an India-England series (not to mention that it has already happened quite a few times? I do not understand the uniqueness of that match-up, with regards to the T20 league. Or am I missing your point?

Here's all the times it has happened just in the Test arena.;filter=advanced;orderby=start;player_involve=4271;template=results;type=allround;view=match

Satish: I think the bowlers do have a greater role, yes. And I agree with the "Bad" and the "Ugly"!

JQ: Most certainly! I just meant it in the weak sense of watching several top-quality players getting together in the same space (not that the matchups are rare).

you have to explain your hatred for Lalit Modi.. The man has turned an idea in to a money printing machine. He seems to find ways out of tight corners.. Don't give me cop out reasons like, "Oh! It has become all about the money!".. Whether people like to believe it or not, Cricket is a business. People need to get off their high horses!
