I only hope they dont make him a permanent #7 now... Kid needs to bat up the order.

Kudos India and now all to play for at Lords :)

Yeah, he needs to be up the order. I liked his response when asked about the over-the-head paddle "I was practicing for the Twenty20 Cup". What a cool head, unbelievable.

Robin the Wonder kid. He s redeemed himself.....Lot better than useless karthik kid.

A proud record of being unbeaten @ Lords for 32 years now needs to be saved.

And did i see Tendulkar "recreate magic of past"

Chak de India.

I thought we had you when Dhoni was bowled.

And then you had to go and ruin it all by doing something stupid like fluking boundaries.

Although, saying that, if Dravid opted to allow a proper bowler to take the 50th over, it may not have been that close at all.

Atheist: I agree, thats why I posted the comment before this one. And yes, I agree, too, that some of the boundaries were mighty dicey. Still, there was something thrilling about watching a youngster collect 10 runs off the last over. And yes too, to the last sentence. What the hell was Singh doing bowling the last over? We know the answer - the quicks couldn't be trusted with it. What does that say?

Tubby,

I think Karthik is very good and will come through sooner or later. On to Lord's!

Dont see any role for Karthik in the current set up of the batsmen in Indian ODI team as well as Test team.
