Duncan Fletcher?
Duncan Fletcher as Indian coach? First things first. I'm not a big fan of coaches. Second, Fletcher is a big mouth, prone to talking too much about his wards to the press. This has the makings of a disaster in India's media scene.

I know where you are coming from Samir, I'm a bit of the view that maybe the BCCI have hired a fall guy here.
The test team could prove to be hard work for him with Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman all nearing the end (although I'm not sure with Tendulkar, he looks like he could go on forever).
Would the BCCI dare employ a man who might clear out the old players? So they can start afresh, with or without Fletcher?
But I think you will find out early on with Fletcher. I think if he comes in and trys to impose himself too strongly, it could be all over fairly quickly.
I am of the opinion that the losses are only for a brief period. India will come in colours. there is no meaning in findly fault with fletcher. give him sufficient time. dr udattu srinivasa rao machilipatnam
