In a hurry, clearly

And meanwhile, early signs of some confusion as India head to New Zealand. (I know, I'm late reacting to news - I was away on a little weekend trip stuffing myself silly with all sorts of great food). To express my confusion, all I need is two words and one punctuation mark: Dhawal Kulkarni?

Selectors seem to be saying - Dhaval is a good pick, since he is not gonna get a chance.. it doesn't matters who will be in the team. My full analysis http://cric4all.wordpress.com/2009/02/13/indian-team-for-nz/

It's madness to omit both Sreesanth and RP Singh. They have proven their worth at the international level and would certainly enjoy bowling on juicy NZ pitches. I'm fond of Balaji and think he can succeed in NZ but I worry that he doesn't have the pace to pose a threat in more docile surroundings. Why have the selectors given up on Badrinath without ever giving him a chance? There are many mixed messages being sent here. In short, business as usual.

Cric: Thanks for the link - nice analysis!

Tim: I agree; I wonder if the time has come to write those lads off now? Yes, business as usual. As usual.

Does anyone remember that tall, lanky Indian fast bowler with 45 teeth that can swing the ball some 10 feet in good bowling conditions? I really miss him.
