Full disclosure please

Conflicts of interest seem to be quite common in the IPL. Today, Harsha Bhogle has an article in Cricinfo, talking up the IPL. But Harsha works for the Mumbai Indians. That makes his article on CI a press release. The least Harsha (or Cricinfo) could so, in the interest of full disclosure, is make a note of the fact that he is employed by the Mumbai Indians.

I'm used to the merger of the media and the establishment here in the US. Seems like it's catching.

Hat-tip to Mukul Kesavan for pointing this out to me.

Is sambit Bal in anyway related to RCB? He attended and judged their fanatic fan challenge.

the link which you have given does not have a time stamp on it.if i remember correctly Harsha was with Mumbai Indians during IPL 1 and after that he left them. He was not on the commentary team for IPL 1 ( not completely sure of this) and for season 2 he got fired or left the job. I remember harsha in the dugout of MI during IPL 1 but no where near them during IPL 2! He is a part of the commentary team this season too so i Guess he isn't associated with any team!

I think Aditya is right. Harsha was a part of the MI setup in 2008. In the second IPL, I don't think he was associated with the IPL or any franchisee in any official capacity (I like to think he resigned - wasn't fired).

Imemyself08: I don't think he is. I think Sambit would have mentioned it by now - I expect him to be conscientious in that regard.

Aditya, Shridhar, Agnihotra: Thanks. You folks seem to be converging on a theme (and I think the tweet clinches it!).

Cheers,
Samir
