Rudi Koertzen the Sightless

Oh geez. Rudi, Rudi. Don't ever go to Australia. You won't make it past the baggage carousel. Instead of those cute beagles that they bring out to sniff your baggage, the airport authorities will bring out a Rottweiler and set him on you. That life to Bell was ludicrous.

Yes Koertzen did give bad decisions though I would add that England did suffer at his hands in 06/07.

Is there any reason why you haven't said any good word about either Anderson or Onions? as both bowled well and created the chances.

I have said this before that England seem to have the better bowling attack. For some reason the bowling attack looked no good at Cardiff but since then England have bowled better.

The one weak link though is Broad and I would that say Harmless, Siders, and even bowlers like Mark Davies are better.

It would have been better if you had said something good about Anderson or Onions as they actually bowled well!

Well, that's a cheap shot. Didn't you know Aussies are cultured? Such lynching etc can only happen in india so if a greg baum wrote this of steve bucknow in 2008, one could understand. But to insinuate such things of aussies? You are so uncultured!

Homer: The Aussie angst about Rudi must be approaching Indian angst levels about Stevie! And shouldn't that be "brothers in raised fingers"!?

GB: You're right, of course. I was just shooting from the hip in that post. I think Anderson et al have mastered the conditions in a way the Aussies simply haven't (Broad as you point out is the weak part of that attack). Oz have made a huge mistake leaving Clark out.

Raj: Rudi really hasn't had a good series, has he?

As far as Rudi is concerned I am not too surprised that he has been bad.

For the last few years he has been very inconsistent as a umpire.

I would say Simon Taufel is a good umpire and to an extent Dar is also a good umpire but the rest are just incompetent.

Anyhow I have updated my own blog and it would be great if you just have a look at it.
