I didn't catch the starts of most of the games. Just curious, what did they play during games which featured the West Indies?
I remember watching the Rugby Tri-Nations for the first time, and being similarly bowled over when I watched the teams singing their respective national anthems. I did want cricket to adopt the practice at the time, but I'm not sure it would fit in with all the manufactured excitement and blaring music that are accessories to T20s and ODIs today.
Suhas: Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure what they played but I'd imagine it was Rally Round the West Indies.
Incidentally, Australia has played national anthems of the opposing teams before test matches before - I'm not sure how long it has gone on, but the last time India toured, they were played before the games.
Who was it singing the national anthem?
